Si bien Nintendo es el hogar de una gran cantidad de IP icónicas, hace unos años, muchos fanáticos comenzaron a sentirse agotados al ver las caras familiares de personajes como Mario, Link y Pikachu una y otra vez. Así, Nintendo decidió que era hora de innovar una vez más en 2015, sorprendiendo a los fanáticos con su nueva franquicia, Splatoon. La primera mitad del tráiler parece incluso mostrar la introducción completa del juego, mostrando un Inkling seleccionando su apariencia y luego aventurándose a lo que parece el nuevo centro de Splatoon 3, muy parecido al Inkopolis Square de Splatoon 2. Por supuesto, el tráiler muestra el modo de guerra territorial multijugador del nuevo juego, junto con un nuevo escenario, estilos de ropa, armas y sub-armas. Curiosamente, parece que los jugadores ingresarán a las etapas de una manera nueva, apareciendo encima de cubos flotantes, y luego usando giroscopios para lanzarse a la guerra territorial.
El tráiler de Splatoon 3 presenta un Inkling con un arma basada en un arco y una flecha, algo que los fanáticos han solicitado durante bastante tiempo, y los fanáticos también pueden ver nuevas versiones de Shooter, Blaster, Charger y más.
