El año pasado se anunció que Sony adquirió Insomniac Games. La adquisición no fue sorprendente ya que las dos compañías han colaborado estrechamente durante años, como la larga serie Ratchet and Clank o el reciente éxito de taquilla Spider-Man. El ex director de Sony, Shawn Layden, estaba orgulloso de la compra, y debería haberlo estado, teniendo en cuenta el trato que obtuvieron.
A través de una presentación ante la SEC, se reveló que Sony pagó solo $ 229 millones por el desarrollador. Si bien eso no es algo para estornudar por decir (eso es mucho más dinero del que verá la gran mayoría de las personas), cuando se considera el tipo de dinero que estas entidades obtienen, se espera que ese número sea significativamente mayor. Parece que Sony consiguió un buen trato.
A partir de ahora no se ha sabido en qué está trabajando Insomniac Games actualmente, aunque la lógica dictaría una secuela del exitoso Spider-Man que probablemente sea bastante alto en la lista.
