Durante el Nintendo Direct, se mostraron nuevos monstruos en Monster Hunter Rise, así como información adicional sobre Rampage.
Con la fecha de lanzamiento de Monster Hunter Rise acercándose rápidamente, Capcom ha revelado otro tráiler que muestra algunos monstruos que regresan, así como dos nuevos monstruos. Además, el avance muestra más mecánicas de alboroto que los jugadores pueden esperar enfrentar cuando retoman el juego.
En uno de los primeros avances de Monster Hunter Rise, hubo un breve vistazo a un monstruo con forma de araña. Muchos fanáticos creían que el monstruo podría ser un monstruo que regresa, Nersyclla, o su subespecie Shrouded Nerscylla. Sin embargo, los fanáticos finalmente se dieron cuenta de que, de hecho, era un monstruo de clase Temnoceran completamente nuevo. A pesar de que la armadura del monstruo y la espada de carga parecían estar en la demostración lanzada anteriormente, el monstruo aún no se había revelado oficialmente. Ahora Capcom ha revelado que su nombre es Rakna-Kadaki.
En cuanto al otro nuevo monstruo revelado en el tráiler, se lo conoce como Almudron. Almudron parece ser un monstruo de clase leviatán que usa barro para atacar a los jugadores. Monstruos anteriores como Jyuratodus han usado barro en sus conjuntos de movimientos, pero el barro parece ser la herramienta principal en el arsenal de Almudron. El tráiler lo muestra lanzando barro de su cola e incluso creando columnas enteras de barro en el campo de batalla.
También se confirmaron varios monstruos que regresan. Regresa Basarios, un wyvern volador rocoso que tiene varias habilidades de fuego. Volidon, una bestia con colmillos que es una especie de cruce entre un armadillo y un oso hormiguero, también regresa para rodar sobre los jugadores y les inflige la dolencia del hedor.
Otros monstruos que se muestran brevemente incluyen Diablos, el wyvern volador recurrente al que le gusta cavar bajo tierra y atacar a los cazadores, la mascota de la serie Rathalos y la bestia con colmillos Rajang.
Rajang se mostró durante las imágenes que detallan la nueva mecánica de alboroto en el juego. Se han insinuado detalles durante algún tiempo, pero parece ser exactamente lo que parecía todo el tiempo: una lucha contra múltiples monstruos al mismo tiempo que los cazadores intentan proteger la aldea de ellos. El pueblo aparentemente experimentó un alboroto hace 50 años, y después de haber sufrido grandes pérdidas, ha instalado armamentos y puertas para tratar de defenderse nuevamente.
Durante las imágenes del juego violento, también se mostró un Apex Arzuros. Anteriormente vistos en Monster Hunter 4 (Ultimate), los monstruos Apex eran monstruos que se volvieron más fuertes al ser infectados con el virus Frenzy. En particular, el virus Frenzy fue infligido por los monstruos Gore Magala y Shagaru Magala, ninguno de los cuales ha sido confirmado para regresar en Monster Hunter Rise. Esto puede confirmar indirectamente su regreso.
También se mostraron en el tráiler dos nuevas ubicaciones, una zona desértica y una zona volcánica. Basarios, Rakna-Kadaki y Volvidon residen en el área del volcán. No se mostró ningún monstruo específico en el área desértica, pero sería justo asumir que es donde se peleará contra Diablos.
El tráiler termina con las dos doncellas de la misión que toman las armas, aunque no está claro qué implica exactamente esto.
Monster Hunter Rise se lanzará en Switch el 26 de marzo de 2021.
